What will we be doing?

The main thing we will be doing in FIJI will be visiting and helping out at the Lomani Au Children’s Home based in Savusavu.

During this time we will also have the opportunity to:

  • Run daily devotions at Lomani Au for the kids and staff

  • Help students with their homework and organise afternoon activities

  • Visit Savusavus local library and donate a Christian book of your choice

  • Visit the local markets

  • Visit and help out at the special school in the village

  • Attend the local youth ministry with the teenagers from Lomani Au

  • Visit the local hospital

  • Visit the Waterfall/go to the beach (a lot of beach time!)

  • Snorkel at spilt rock

  • Attend the local church on Sunday

  • Visit the local Village

Lomani Au Children’s Home

The English translation of Lomani Au is “I am loved” or "somebody loves me”, but in the Fijian culture the meaning is much deeper, often being referred to in hymns as a very special and unconditional love, an unselfish love that gives without seeking anything in return. We are passionate about ensuring every child who is placed in our care experiences “lomani au”.

The Lomani Au Children's Home is situated on a beautiful 3.5 acre property beside the sea in Savusavu on the island of Vanua Levu, Fiji.

Lomani Au Children's Home was officially opened on March 16th 2013 by the “Minister for Social Welfare, Women and Poverty Alleviation”, Dr Jiko Luveni.

Since the opening of the home, a number of precious smiling faces have joined the Lomani Au family. We continue to have a wonderful working relationship with Social Welfare as we care for the children of Fiji.
