JUNE’S LEADERSHIP LESSON: Vision Gives Direction to Your Leadership

Every leader needs vision. Without vision, we drift. We become reactive instead of intentional, busy instead of purposeful. Proverbs 29:18 - "Where there is no vision, the people perish". Vision gives us a picture of what could be and helps us stay focused on what matters most. As leaders, vision isn't just something we have for a ministry, team, or church, it's something we need for our own lives. What kind of person is God calling you to become? What values are shaping your decisions? What future are you moving towards? Vision doesn't need to be grand or complicated. It simply answers the question: "Where am I heading?" When we have clarity about where we're going, our daily choices begin to align with that destination. Vision gives purpose to our habits, direction to our energy, and meaning to our leadership.

As a church, we have a vision to be a church that loves like Jesus and to build a church that the unchurched love. As leaders, we help carry that vision. We all have a part to play. The clearer we are on the mission, the more effectively we can invest our time, energy, and influence into what God is building.

So the question isn't just, "What am I doing?"

It's, "What am I building towards?"

APPLICATION: What is one area of your life or leadership where you need greater clarity of vision, and what is one step you can take this week to move towards it?
