Earth. The planet we all inhabit. The place that God made. The people whom Christ came to save.

The whole Christian story has been one of seeing more of heaven come to earth.

It was the prayer Jesus taught us to pray.

It was the example he set.

God’s heart has always been set on not just getting more of earth to heaven, but also more of heaven to earth.

The history of the Church has been one of loving service, faithful ministry, overwhelming generosity and sacrifice, and an enduring hopeful commitment to loving their neighbour wherever they are.

We carry on this commitment.

Every act of love. Every prayer. Every moment of presence. We are being part of Christ’s prayer – more of heaven on earth.

For 49 years, Suncoast Church has been an outpost of the Kingdom of Heaven here on the Sunshine Coast.

Our hearts have never been more committed.

Our vision never clearer. So much has been done in Jesus’ name. But there is still much more to be done.

This is our turn to continue what Jesus started.

More of heaven. Here and now.

On earth.
